18 baseball teams from across the country have made their way right here to the Capital City for the annual "Great Plains Shootout".
Games got underway Thursday at both Hummer Sports Park and Kansas State's Tointon Family Stadium.
The tournament consists of high school all-star teams in wood bat competition.
The four day event gives teams a chance to see how they match up against national competition, and a chance to visit places they might otherwise not see.
Pool play continues through Saturday with the championship round to be held on Sunday.
