It will be back to reality for the USD 501 students who are on spring break come Monday.
And back to work means back to preparing and administering state assessments. Some 501 schools have already begun that process. Others will be starting right after spring break is over, said USD 501 Spokesman Ron Harbaugh.
Tests results will be back in a few months, he said, and the school administration is optimistic.
"Or levels have been going up, so it would be great if they could do that again this year," he said.
The state assessment is important because it determines the what amount of money the legislature gives to the district.
Harbaugh also recommended voters to get informed about the candidates for 501 school board before the general election April 3.
The election will bring in four fresh faces to the 501 school board, he said.
Harbaugh also talks about enrollment for summer school, which begins in May. He reminded parents to mark that on their calendar.
